The IONSR-71mach5 SpeedServer™
is ION's newest all-SSD RAID server delivering the
storage I/O performance of hundreds or thousands of rotating disks
with I/O latency lower than any disk-based system can provide.
Based on Intel® Solid State Drives with Intel RAID
in an Intel server platform with Intel Xeon®l E5-2690 V3 processors,
the SR-71mach5 platform has been optimized throughout for SSD RAID performance.
The "mach5" server offers more Xeon processor cores, twice the RAM,
twice the I/O capacity and better I/O performance.
IOmeter running on (4) iSCSI initiator systems
recorded 7.7 GBytes per second of 64kB random reads
with just over 3 milliseconds average latency while accessing the
running Open-E DSS V7 with (24) iSCSI targets.
SR-71mach5: Disk-impossible performance!
The SR-71mach5 SpeedServer delivers dramatically accelerated performance for database servers, streaming media servers, compile engines, and file servers. Disk-Impossible means that it also solves a variety of challenges for applications that would otherwise need the performance of a large, dedicated SAN, but cannot justify the space or the power or the price of five rack cabinets full of disks.
Use the SR-71 Configurator below to design optimized all-SSD servers with capacities ranging from 2TB
to 154TB of provisioned, usable SSD RAID storage.
